In the 1960s on a dark night you would have watched the tv in black and white. There was no remote control and the tv was black and white and the only two channels were itv and bbc. All the family would have gathered around and they'd adjust the picture and the sound, they'd settle down for an hour or two and watch batman and robin and doctor who.
